Thanks - yeah, you know it's because I cache the DNS at cloudflare so that I can set up redirects for sitemap.xml and robots.txt (I don't know if it helps at all, but I was just playing around) - and I have to go turn the caching off every time CB decides to do whatever they do that breaks it. I don't really understand why they feel the need to put those blocks in place and then break the DNS every x number of hours when I want to do some extra stuff.
I am working on setting up one with Stripchat, and they don't place any kind of restrictive robots.txt on the white labels.
I get that they don't want the competing duplicate content, so I don't know why they don't allow for better customization. I've seen that apparently there used to be more control - I think in a post here, wanna say it was fuc dot com, I see they have some kind of CSS that comes in via base64. I wonder if there is a form field name that could be passed to the customization page that would still populate those old database fields. If anyone has a screenshot of what that page used to look like, I would see if I could figure it out.
But it'd also be nice to give a little text editor per page too, so we could really add an extra custom touch. And then they could only block pages from Google where the user did not make any customizations.
Just seems like a white label succeeding leads to their overall success also, if it's a lack of developers, maybe I should see if they're hiring.
