People are dying en masse from the lock downs. In Africa 10,000's of thousands of kids are starving and will die (up to 1/4 million) because we in the Western world locked down. 1.4 million tuberculosis cases will rebound due to our lock downs. The amount of people who died waiting for medical treatment is in the 1000s here in Canada. The youth have more overdose deaths than ever before, kids have suffered massively with with mental health issues and are in hospitals due to that and not covid, the poor are way further behind and so millions of kids in the poor areas of the US will never recover socially, education-wise and socio-economically. Domestic abuse is up and not even being detected in many cases. Inflation is out of control and the cost of living is out of hand and will make life much worse for everyone for years to come.

We haven't finished paying for lock downs yet and the bill will take years to pay off.

I know I know. The argument is, "Well if we didn't lock down then it would have been worse."

No it wouldn't have. We have places that did and didn't lock down and the outcomes are the same generally speaking.

You will have to live with this blood on your hands the rest of your life.

My conscience is clear.

Poland had lockdowns a couple of times through the pandemic. This last wave they didn't do any lockdowns, just 'mask indoors'. No vax mandates, checking of covid passports, nothing. Basically just let it run it's course. The covid numbers were roughly the same as they were with lockdowns - maybe a bit lower, and have started slowly going down now (after approximately the same time frame). Double-vaccinated are getting Covid at roughly a proportional rate to unvaccinated.

My uncle, aunt, cousin, step father, step brother (all unvaccinated) caught covid in the last couple of weeks with heavy coughing and fever, and were more or less completely healthy after taking Amantadine for 1-3 days.

Not only because I want to live, but because Post-Covid (Long Covid) is serious, serious shit. I'd rather avoid it if possible. Or at least be vaccinated if I'm unlucky enough to catch it.
