The issue is the data. There are large sums of funding available with the right data. We saw this with HIV in Africa.
Unless of course you think the that politicians would not lie and manipulate for power and money. Except for Obama of course.
Add that to the general lack of definite understanding of the virus, a rushed prototype vaccine, and social media hiding, Google, manipulating search results... but you don't belive Google is a player in the game do you?
