At least there are several sites that output this metric. Semrush, ahrefs, MOZ .... all have their own metric. This begs the question for me: what is the industry standard?

ahrefs: 13 (bad?)
semrush: 47 (quite ok)
moz: 29 (also quite good)
Side Note:
It was pretty funny telling him, that the Domain-Rank of his Domain is not high enough while he told me, that it is.

It's important to understand that any external automated bot-based ranking system is NOT quantitative, nor even qualitative when comparing multiple sites side by each.
Many website owners (myself included) ban most bots, including, AHREFS, SEMRUSH, etc..
While there is no guarantee of continued performance, detailed long-term raw traffic server logs provided by the host claiming their prominence, can be more accurate and inclusive than any outside third party metric site.
