Just write this off, ignore it, or even give it a chance. If the story and characters and themes are okay, and there's nobody wearing an "Elf Lives Matter" t-shirt (I would watch it just for that though) then what's the real problem?
I mean this probably will be terrible, but not because of 'diversity'. And the diversity arguably makes the story more accessible or relatable to people who may not otherwise pick up the book, which is what matters.

Screen time is very expensive. And limmited. For 100 million you get maybe 2 hours to tell a great story.
Devations from story time to parade WOKE characters takes time from story telling.
So the choice is awesome story or woke fantasy. No time for both.
