What about the new Vikings (which turned a white male king into a black female). They spent millions on sets, boats, etc to make it all seem authentic and then they make black vikings. They go to great lengths to make it realistic and then literally shoe-horn in black vikings just for the sake of appeasing some small group screaming diversity. There were no black vikings, period.
or black, gay Achilles in the BBC Troy series. Literally described in the book as having long flowing blonde hair.
Or shooting black Nazis in a recent Call of Duty game?
I understand the need for diversity in modern pieces - it's part of the world now - but black people were never a major part of medieval europe and I don't see what the point is in pretending otherwise.
