They are using an advanced bot engine that will not only simulate a hit your site, it will go on to simulate clicks to your pages but NONE of it is real.
Its almost impossible to distinguish from real traffic. This is one of the reasons Alexa closed down because bots like this were making their rankings useless

it wasn't hard to identify it as bot traffic, the bounce rate / time on site in GA looks completely fake.
though, yes, the fact that it shows up in GA means its relatively sophisticated botting.
