I think another big part of it for me at least, is all of the actors on social media. It's too easy to be a part of their everyday life, and that takes some of the mystery and awe away from them. For me anyway.

They are just regular people and tiktok shows you exactly that.

But if you take what you learn about this new generation of people, they want instant gratification. The attention span to sit through a movie is lacking in a big way and this may also be a good part of it.
