n When you work for months on such a project you are in a bubble and it is important to take the point of view of other people. There are a lot of offers from ad networks, web designers, SEO companies and they all promise and sell you everything you want to hear. But as in any business, not everything works.
I'll say that I don't need the money from this project to live and I'm otherwise successful in business, just not in adult business yet. So I can only learn a lot.
A few things I'll take up now:
1. design: Yes, this is old school and it was also first about creating the basis. Mainly I focused on the content. There is a lot of potential here and I will tackle that soon.
2. content/ video quality: I don't think everyone has understood that yet. It is a voyeur site, comparable to voyeur sites of topless or nudist beaches. Therefore the quality is not comparable with the high gloss porn videos. But they are authentic and - believe it or not - that's what some people want to see. I find the vast majority of porn with the so-called porn stars really boring. But this is a matter of taste and sexual preference.
3. unfortunately, nowadays it is no longer possible to offer such voyeur sites without restrictions. The compliance departmens have meanwhile real restrictions. After long examination and although all other conditions were given, CCBill had unfortunately rejected at the end. This is due to the restrictions imposed by the credit card companies. For old sites this does not apply yet, but CCBill wants to change this in the future. For this reason there are no faces to be seen. I'm guaranteed to be on the legal side here and have no desire to change that either....
4. join page design: Yes, I have to look at that again. I personally don't find that difficult at all to click on something and figure out how to do it, but you're already right. The way should be simple. Since I had some customers with credit cards problems, I recently added gift cards and bitcoin as a test. A few customers did the same. That's why it's become more cluttered. Full API integration is possible, but I pushed that to the back.
5. pricing: The first weeks I actually had 19.95 as default price. But then set it higher after all. My idea was originally that 1000 customers paying 19.95 is much better than 100 customers paying 29.95 ;-) but the price increase was accompanied by the download option and so I suddenly had a lot more customers... Interestingly, a number of customers also paid 99.95 for 6 months and quite a few 39.95 (non-recurring). Obviously not everyone likes the subscription...
6. xhamster etc.: Yes, I am working on that and Xhamster is my biggest affiliate. Pornhub doesn't want this kind of videos anymore. P.S. The sound is original
But since I will take maybe in the future whale songs
and delete the original sound. That fits then also to the logo! Other Tube sites I'm testing...
7. ad networks: I have already received a few thousand clicks and there are also customers, but I also wonder if the target audience is reached... But I'm working on that too. I know only classic banner advertising, but now I will test other formats.
8. porn gifs: This is really new for me and I will have a closer look. Thanks for the tip!
9. a logo is a logo is a logo... If you find it terrible you will remember it. The other 9 billion logos you won't...
10. forget clip4sale etc.: They will not accept these videos...
