Not really. I am basically retired since 2013, and the only uploading I do, are my personal YouTube videos...
All my TVs can stream Netflix or whatever, at 4K without breaking a sweat, and my security system only needs a 2.4ghz connection with a minimal upload speed.
I fail to see ANY benefit (To Me) to make me pay double what I'm paying now, just so as I see a bigger number on a speedtest? What can I possibly do at a gigabit, that I cant do at 150Mbps?
I could always upgrade to 500Mbps if I chose too, with just the click of a mouse, but again, I cant find any reason to justify it.
Am I missing something? Serious question, cause if I am, I'll upgrade
