Well not everyone is open minded unfortunately.
I think we're in France polarised like most other countries in the world : half of the people are progressist and open minded, the other half is conservatist/dumb/racist/radicalised in whatever form of idiocy.
And even if I'm wrong and French people happen to be more open minded that the rest of the world... that would still be a 60/40...
Next, we can also ask ourselves if the administrations and institutions are reflecting what the majority of people think or if they have their own colors... maybe they're more conservatist than the people themselves? Hard to tell
