So I think you have "private messaging" disabled in your profile. I think you have to enable that

Try going to your User Control Panel: https://gfy.com/profile.php?do=editoptions In the Messaging & Notification section, in the Private Messaging subsection, make sure that "Enable Private Messaging" has a check in the box. Then click "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.
