True story: I wanted to buy the vinyl, but my parents wouldn't let me! This seemed really out of character for my parents, as my dad was a pornographer, so it wasn't as if I lived in a strict religious, or 'uptight' household or anything.
I couldn't understand why I was banned from purchasing it with my own fucking money, and when I really reached the point of 'kicking off' about it, my mum revealed the problem...
Apparently one of my other relatives, and aunt or someone (really cant remember) had already bought it for me, and she was going to give it to me as a birthday present - Luckily at this point my birthday was about 10 days away, so I shut up, and waited patiently...
Birthday comes around - Record shaped gift appears - I beam with thanks and rip open the paper... And I find THIS...
Not the actual soundtrack to the film, with them singing it... A 'Pickwick Music' album of session singers singing the hits from the stage musical that the film was based on!
What a fucking dissapointment.
Sure, I bought the proper album myself the next day, but all that waiting and anticipation, for what could almost be described a
asa 'Dodgy Knockoff Bootleg' of the film lol
