do know that in my town covid isn't an issue anymore. out of respect I mask up when entering an enclosed space (ATM's, grocery stores, that kinda thing, my fav restaurant where my friends work and gave me the wifi p/w for when needed-then I take a corner and mask off), and go out of my way to avoid the tourists from the cruise ships-which I would anyway

but other than that, it doesn't impact our lives anymore

nationally, things were bad here as it took a while for the gov to assure people the vaxx was safe. not like Black people have been used as guineas pigs or subjected to genocidal 'health care' (think Tuskegee Airmen or escaping slaves and forced abortions and sterilizations) or anything like that

I have a zillion criticisms of the gov here but gotta say, they handled this issue well. pretty much everyone I know is vaxxed, and a significant downward trend even with the tourists back

and shockingly no one in their prime of life is dying. go figure. dunno if it's cuz we all got the one-shot (no boosters available here) but either way, no one is dying from the vaxx. instead, us taking the shot has brought the economy (and normal life) back

no mandates for locals nation-wide except for health care/care home workers, but it's more difficult to enter the country than leave it. this gov actually earned the trust of the people regarding this issue which considering their record (and historical facts) is astonishing

but yeah, you gotta be vaxxed with a PCR test to set foot on this land

there was a spike at the beginning of the year, but since then, total downward trend. I don't mask up around locals, and I am technically at higher risk due to some serious health issues

in terms of monkeypox, last I heard there's four cases nation-wide. pretty much everyone here wears their boots and male or female I've always practised going down on the person before fucking and part of that is checking for signs of VD

got an ingrown hair on my pubis from waxing and working out in tight undies and paranoid on cam that peeps will think I have the pox. it's slightly red on the one area of my body never exposed to the sun-I sunbathe in a very small bikini (often topless if no tourists are at the surrounding B and B's) on my balcony, so still kinda stands out. salt water compresses are fixing that (far more effective that medicinal creams), but not an overnight process

I've seen monkeypox in action on cam though. I ignore it as it doesn't impact me but def not pretty, not like Imma shame someone for it tho. long as I'm not at risk I take people as they are

but yeah, we're vaxxed and living our lives like normal

wicked to see the kids back at school and able to see their friends after class. think the lockdowns and curfews hit them hardest
