Several years ago I was having regular zero sale days, with quite an expensive rent to pay and fearing I'd be losing everything, so I've been rather scarred by that experience. It's not as if I'm on here 24 hours monitoring answers to my post instead of working hard to 'fix things'. I was really just curious to know if there were real signs that people are spending less due to the economy and the grim economic warnings. That's called forward planning for any business.
I assume there is indeed quite a marked summer slowdown, at least in the niches I promote, as nearly all the sponsor sites are having extended sales, far more than they every had previously. But I understand the reasons for it, and it's probably particular to my niche.
BTW, for the week after Christmas Day, I always average 3 to 4 times the average sales for the rest of the year.

None of us who make serious money are going to say anything worth while on GFY.
Some sponsors were "down" for me in the summer months but others picked up the slack by quite a lot. I've been doing this full time since 2004 and I don't recall ever having a "summer slowdown". I've just observed that the same reps and companies who complain about this go on vacation for 2 out of the 3 months in the summer.
