I have not used Reddit for SEO at all. All 22 of my subreddits are all NSFW - and they are mostly just images/gifs with porn related titles.
As far as generating traffic, that has never been an issue. Its just getting the traffic to the right location. I have over 2.4 million subscribers in my subreddits, some aged subreddits, some new. And alone, some of my subreddits with 100k subscribers can generate 500-1000 hits a day just from pinned posts/comments.
I send all of my traffic (except for when a post is sold to someone else) to my webcam white labels. And its reasonable successful. Lots of signups, a few new spenders each month. Its going reasonably well.
But when I saw that image that was postsed on a sale forum for an 80k subreddit generating that kind of income from an ad platform - I figured someone must know more than me.
