Hardly anybody speaks Spanish on Gran Canaria with all those people from Europe. I know some bar owners and affiliates who live 20 years in Spain and don't speak Spanish (i would have learnt it though).
It is even worse, Holland is full of people who even don't speak Dutch or English. But they find their way.
There is even a Dutch school in Mexico City, and other big cities around the world, with a lot of dutch expats. Just look where there are many expats / tourist / wintertourist.
I would rather go to the US (if Possible) than UK if language is important. Cause this shit isn't over yet in Europe.
