Kids absolutely want and are using VR. They're buliding their base for the future.
Oculus Quest 2 currently outsells the XBOX - with almost 20 million units sold. Quest store did almost $2 billion in sales.

That maybe in your home - I have 5 kids and none of them want it and laugh when I suggested it (and they have a lot of the latest gadgets). They asked their friends at school and no one has them either both high school and elementary. Neighbors I've talked too - volunteer groups - even the actual shops that sell them - no one wants them - or has them - period.
I'm sure somewhere in the world around you kids are using them - but anyone I ask in the industry with kids or without I still get the same answer - most don't have it and those who do - rarely go back in the future because they don't like it.
Sometime in the future maybe - but not now.
