I've been married 3 times - I've been with my wife now for over 13 years and we're enjoying it completely. When I divorced my ex I was one of the few men in Canada that was awarded sole custody of their kids and I hired her as a nanny.
The kids fell in love with her and although at the time I never wanted to marry again but I felt at the time that this was the family I always wanted. I always refer it to the sound of music story for me. Yet I refused to date or show any feelings for fear that i may be rebounding from ex. The divorce took 2 years but during that time I was amazing at how she cared so much for everyone and brought peace back into the house
Afterwards as soon as the divorce went through (and spoke to several life mentors of mine including my dad about it and they saw the fit and gave their blessing as i wanted to make sure I wasn't walking into this with rose colored glasses) so I moved forwarded and started dating her and the rest is history. NOTE: she was such a wonderful mom that even my ex was impressed and agreed to let her adopt the 2 children. Now we have 5 kids and love every moment with them.
