Thanks again, for the lessons
well it prob helped that peeps were also discussing this over on the boring place where under the BrandItScan moniker they had a sales thread and apparently even won an award for 'marketing'

yours and the other dude's thread here def helped bolster that discussion as Wasteland linked to them both in that thread

still, I consider their biz practice theft from performers/creators and affs through their irresponsible biz model until they can prove they have altered it to the extent that this 'DMCA everything that involves a performers name' shit has stopped

right now it seems like they're just reacting to complaints, not providing any info on how they will change their spiffy system so it doesn't happen in the first place

in my case, I have goog alerts set up for the diff variations on my cam names and real name. I share a real name with a prominent astrophysicist who lives in another country. my most used cam name is also that of a tik tok chica just doing her thing, along with a couple of porn creators who look nothing like me and are not infringing on me in any way in choosing a cool name. I get the g alert emails, check the provided link and delete. simple

when it is my stuff posted I DMCA, but most of the time the alerts have nothing to do with me

can you imagine if I paid these two companies (DMCAPP and BrandIt) money to pull this ish and charged me for creating unwarranted hassle in the lives of others?

until they solve the problem "I'm sorry, we'll whitelist you" is not enough

thanks for raising this here BMW, and for (unlike them) being proactive in trying to address the issue
