It's a community, and I've been on there for over 10 years.
While there are many from the adult industry there, admins and users do not like having people come in to push their OF and such. The owner specifically started Fetlife because he was tired of fake profiles fetish dating sites and initially banned marketing on Fetlife unless someone paid for ads.
