To be fair, it sounds like a good idea. Lets hope others follow suit. I had to get a landlords property insurance quote the other day - What a fuck about.
People from india who I could barely understand, basically lying to me (Example) If I dont renew and the house burns down the following day, after my policy has ended, kindly dont worry Sir, as we have a duty of care and would still honour it' !!!
To young English guys, so full of how much they know about insurance (which is true) but assuming you know nothing about it (which is false)
He was trying to tell me that as my insurance expires on 'The 24th' then they will start the new policy on the 25th, (and I quote him virtually verbatim, as it stuck in my craw) 'So as not to 'Overlap' policies, which Sir, is a technical term for not having two policies running at the same time, even if it is for only 24hours'...
So if I look up the 'technical term' - 'Overlap' in the dictionary, that's what it will say is it? Ermmm No...
Pointed out that if he starts it on the 25th, then I WONT be covered on the 24, because on the 24th it has RUN OUT...
OK, there is a grey area, as to does 'run out' on the 24th' mean it finishes that day at midnight, or does it mean it finished at midnight on the 23rd and as such, on the 24th, has 'run out'?
Well, you can cast any ambiguous aspersions aside, as the conversation was clearly prefaced with me stating, 'I need it to start on the 24th, as thats when its run out' - Pretty clear, yes?
Not to him... Sigh...
The Roll out of AI cant come fast enough if you ask me...
