No, its to do with adblock - For some reason a text string that contains a chaturbate link, will completely disappear if you happen to have an adblock running.
For some reason, it treats the text itself, like a banner ad - So without the bitly link, that text would be invisible to a percentage of people on gfy.
Yes, OK, webmasters should run adblock, etc etc, but they do - and while you would expect the top banner on GFY and those that appear when you hit reply etc to be gone, the only lines of text they remove (which you wouldn't expect them to remove) are direct chaturbate links.
