Yep, just another reason why we're looking to move out of the State.
Other than the fact that NOLA only has 30-40% of its required police force and crime is at an all-time high with local, city and State governments not wanting to address the issues, our roads in NOLA are in utter disrepair, some having potholes as big as an actual car on them.
Crooked politicians, the Mayors recent indiscretions with city property and just a general feeling of citizens not being cared about has turned what was once a beautiful, charming and vibrant city into nothing more than a cesspit clusterfuck of crime.
Locals literally will not walk alone in the French Quarter any more it has gotten so bad, with some local businesses being burglarized every other month.
Not to mention the local utility companies fucking their customers over every chance they get, we've had almost a 40% increase in electricity costs in the last 18 months, with nothing to show for it, the utility infrastructure is laughable, at best, SWB drainage pumps are always on the fritz, even during serious storms when they're supposed to be pumping water out of the city.
Each time Entergy (power company) has to do repair work, they hit customers with the cost of it, meanwhile, their CEOs are making record salaries and bonuses.
It feels like you can quite literally spit in the street and the power or internet goes out, never mind if we have an actual storm LOL
