There are a lot of things that you can't post on social media. Stuff like a broad getting pissed on by 10 guys and older woman pretending to be her mother. Plus there's all the trolls, free loaders and cancel culture bullshit. I've also never liked the idea that some mega wealthy big tech company by defacto profits from content I paid for then tells me what the fuck I'm allowed to do.

So I think there are arguments that can be made for going old school and installing a forum on a site.

I always start everything by looking at what the free options are. (Wealth is made by nickels and dimes more than dollars) The free options seem to be phpbb and mybb. Phpbb seems to be very stable and basic but it's butt ugy. Mybb has a lot of options but it's a fucking nightmare because support sucks and shitty quality control over extensions.

Right now I'm looking into xenforo. The demos look great but is it worth the money? I'm still looking into it.

Anyone else know of good forum installs or have any opinions?
