because optimizing traffic monetization is a completely different game and skillset than generating it in the first place
you think a small-time tube owner wants to build their own cam and dating and pay sites to monetize their own traffic? hell no. that's a game for the big dogs. meanwhile I'm happy to focus on my own little tube niche and don't want the complication/commitment of running a cam site in my life.
