A question for those with enough SEO experience, please.

I am going through some old pages on one of my WP sites, and the Yoast plugin is now reporting that length of meta desc. and title fields are longer than they should be.

My experience says that messing with established page ranking can easily be a problem, so I was wondering shall I proceed with fixing this "issue". Has anyone been in this situation?

It's nothing extreme, maybe one worked or up to 10 characters on average regarding Yoast.
