Mike Stabile of the Free Speech Coalition is this Week’s Guest on Adult Site Broker Talk in part two of a two part series.
Mike Stabile, a writer, and documentary filmmaker, has written on and promoted sexual speech and sex workers for over ten years. His work has been featured in numerous publications, including the Daily Beast, Salon, Buzzfeed, Playboy, and the New York Times. His documentary Seed Money, which follows pornographer and philanthropist Chuck Holmes, was named one of the Best Documentaries of 2015 by The Advocate.
Stabile founded Polari Media to aid non-traditional communities and businesses in efficiently engaging with a mainstream audience. He has been in charge of the Free Speech Coalition's communications since 2013.
Their mission is to protect the liberties and rights of both adult industry corporations and their personnel.
Their organization provides leadership, resources, and tools to the communities they serve. They take great pride in their efforts to reduce the discriminatory laws, incorrect information, and social stigma that people who work in and around the adult industry face.
For over thirty years, they have fought and won seemingly insurmountable battles ranging from the Supreme Court to the ballot box and back. Even though criticism and attacks on our industry are practically constant, we have direct experience that when we come together and fight, we win.
