From what some affiliates have told me they only tend to promote .com sites and avoid such as.xxx sites because the public see .xxx or such as less value than .com.
Over the years I spoke to webmasters about this who did not have .com sites, and they said as soon as they made there martensite .com then sales went up and they got more affiliates.
But this is your choice at the end of the day.
I would think about putting your blog on a separate domain name, just in case you opt for more mc sites, as this way you may want all your sites on a single blog.
I also think it would look best to view.
But again this is up to you.
