It's a scam. If it were true, the Air Force would get her back the the US for that funeral and at no cost to her (she may have to pay to get from point of arrival in the US to her destination though). Our military is good about taking care of things like this.

Oh yeah, that's a bad chic... the pararescue guys/girls go through some difficult training similar to army rangers.
