I sincerely appreciate your words. I was venting my pain here to get breathing space, it was a dark day. I would do anything to give my buddy a second life. I would trade all and everything I have to get him on his feet again. Nothing is of any value to me besides his companionship.
Last summer I went on an Exclusive Doggy holiday with him, a dog-friendly place rented, and smoked a bud under the full moon while we both enjoyed the sound of the sea. We tipped the waiter when he was allowed to roam around in the restaurant and beg for cuddles from strangers. The memories tear me up right now. But ... it's a sadness that comes with waves of love and cheerful memories.
He's a Bichon Frise, one of those ever-lasting, lovable creatures with a personality that lingers in the heart.
