I have an account with Paxum but they have just limited the account because my ID they had on file was my Passport and it expired last month. The passport was valid when I set up my Paxum account about 5 months ago.
It's frustrating because they are now requesting that I identify myself again with a passport or driving license or identity card. I don't drive so don't have a driving license and I don't have any id card. I only have my passport which has now expired. I don't want to renew my passport as I know I'm never going to use it again. Possibly a time saving solution - Apply for a UK learners driving licence. You can do it online for £34 -

That way even though you dont intend to drive, you've paid £34 and have a legit, government issued photo ID...
OK, while checking online it does say you need 'something like' a passport to apply. There are a
list of things that you can use instead of a passport, but not sure how much effort you want to put into it...
Not saying its the best solution - But it IS A Solution
£34 instead of £82.50 to renew your passport...
