I'm a professional web designer/developer and I'm interested in adult website affiliate programs, but I don't really understand how it works.

From what I understand, I would create several websites to distribute the company's content, channeling traffic to the official website so that the user can subscribe. Right?

Do you have any tips on what went right or wrong in your business?
