The appeal of AVS sites was that you could easily make microniche paysites with your own tour, thus controlling the whole funnel (although we didn't call it a funnel back then) and upsells in the members area, PLUS the surfer would then get access to every other site in the AVS network, which is quantitatively different to Onlyfans et. al.

Also the big appeal of the old AVS system was that they had internal link lists for you to post the AVS version of the same 20-30 pic free sites that you would be posting to link lists Greenguy, Tommy's Bookmarks etc. That internal AVS link list traffic was absolutely gold because it was confirmed credit card holding porn buyers.

I feel sick when I think about how much money I left on the table back in those early days, if only I hadn't been such a slack fuck.
