I get what you're saying and genuinely hope that is the case
Over the last 5 or 6 years, we've really zoomed in on question-based searches and providing answers, realizing how valuable information is in this space. By focusing on this, we've been able to supply easy to understand answers which has directly helped increase our profits.
For us, gathering, organizing, and delivering the right info when it is searched for, has had a huge financial impact across a range of the platforms we distribute on. Part of that is because once we package and distribute the information, its long-term value will (and quite often does) keep generating income, with little to no additional work needed on our end.
Looking ahead, my main concern with AI is how things might change when customers become more educated about AI and start asking the search engines more specific, direct questions instead of the broader ones we’ve been benefiting from, like those starting with "who," "what," "where," "when," "how," and "why." This shift could change how we, as a company, approach and benefit from search-based interactions.
Content-based search results have been working well for us so far, but when the dynamic changes, we'll need to experiment with different options to figure out the best way forward.
