New AC laws

Starting January 1, 2025, new air conditioners and heat pumps must use A2L refrigerants, which have a lower global warming potential (GWP). This is part of a new mandate from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reduce the use of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants.

Forget about paying $4k to install a new AC system.. they are now like close to $8,000 for a small 1.5 ton
