The laws both in US and EU are targeting both visual media and written content.
What kind of limitations they can put on written content is still up for debate it appears.
There are concerns over content that would be classified as sexual education but could get caught up in this law if not done properly.
I do not think there is going to be much debate over whether your text is x-rated or not though.
