I have a friend here in the UK who just got hired for a remote 'AI' position by some AI start-up company in California.

He's pretty new to the concept of 'AI' and the only reason he got hired was because he has 30 years teaching experience.

He quit his teaching job 2 months ago.

They're paying him close to $100k a year (almost 3x what he made as a teacher) to 'train' their AI model to do basic mathematical calculations so they can market the platform to schools and universities

The amount of money these AI startups have to throw around is crazy.
