that's what I'm saying. you're in the perfect position to write this

exactly. I've actually looked, this has not been done by anyone who has actually shot porn ethically in and with Native communities in NA

what I'm suggesting is don't approach it like a battle. rather a mutual benefit. a lot of current NavLit books at least tangentially relate to sex work

it might even strengthen your book/whatever you write if you collab as part of the process, as conditions change and your expertise combined with current 'boots on the ground' info could strengthen and make more relevant anything you choose to write in the here and now

a portion on your experience of the shaming and shunning of yourself as an ethical porn purveyor I think would def be a wicked addition. as I wrote in a prior post the 'Elders' tend to be very conservative in ideology over actually giving a fuck how women pay their uni fees/housing bills or put food in their kids mouths and learn how to work safely in adult if they so choose. half the time they ignored it, or positioned it as some 'fallen woman' played out Xian trope. that's why women keep disappearing up there, to this day long after Pickton got taken off the streets

can't imagine it's much different in the US which is where the book club operates

how dare they trash you without trashing the women who worked with you? rhetorical question. hypocrisy knows no bounds

I think that's changing though. younger gens are taking over at least in terms of narrative control (see book club as potential ally)

if this has sparked your interest and you have the time I hope you consider doing it

you can always do you hippity hoppity rippity rippity rap later
