What Do Top-Tier Studios/Sites Need (and Pay) for Exclusive Content Libraries?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to sell a full library of exclusive erotic content and I’d like to understand what serious buyers / content acquisition teams expect.

Could you please help answer these:

1. Valuation
• How do you value a content library?
• Is it mainly cost to reproduce, expected revenue, model popularity, or something else?

2. Parameters that affect price
• Which factors matter most: model quality, exclusivity, release paperwork, uniqueness, originality, production style, etc.?
• How much does the age of the content reduce the price? (For example: shot in 2018 vs shot recently.)
• How important is resolution? Is 1080p video a big disadvantage compared to 4K? Same question for photos: is ≥12 MP still acceptable?

3. Watermarks
• Will you buy content if the only available masters have a permanent corner watermark (brand logo in the lower right), or is that a dealbreaker?
• If it’s acceptable, how much does that usually reduce the price?

4. Audio / music
• For video, do you require silent masters (no audio), or is music acceptable?
• If music is included, do you require full proof that the music license is transferable/commercial?

5. Delivery / technical handoff
• What is your preferred delivery format?
– Per-scene folders (photos + video)
– A manifest CSV (scene ID, model name, shoot date, resolution, durations, etc.)
– SHA-256 checksums for integrity
– Model releases and 2257 scans under NDA
Is that standard, or do you expect something else?

6. Deal structure
• Do you typically do a full buyout of exclusive, perpetual rights, or a time-limited exclusive license with a minimum guarantee?

Thank you for any guidance. I'm trying to price and package this realistically so I don’t waste anyone’s time.
