Laid Off
First time for everything I guess, never expected this to happen to me.
After almost 10 years in the biz, I've gotten a first "client" that just decided to cut ties with me out of the blue.
Though I've got messages like "you are doing great, we are so happy to have you, lets update our agreement next week and increase your pay" I come home and see I have been removed from everything, lol.
I’m not looking for sympathy — I just wanted to talk with people who’ve maybe been through something similar. Losing a contract is one thing, but when it happens without closure, it really messes with your head.
What’s also strange is that I’ve seen another post here mentioning issues with the same person, including unpaid work. That made me realize there might be a pattern. I’m not disclosing names right now, but if things become clearer, I might share more details so others can protect themselves too.
Anyway, thanks for reading — sometimes you just need to say it out loud to start moving forward.
