From my perspective, as an amateur, I like a drink or two before or during a shoot. Helps me relax, but after one it makes my eyes look weird in photos :-) But, the photo shoot is layed out in advance, and the release is discussed and signed competly sober.

yeah that was me
.... i hadn't done that at the begining... and i did run into some trouble... but my lawyer handled it.... but now that i keep the extra camera rolling... and zoom in on their eyes... and make the conscent obvious, there won't be any more problems at all...
