What makes a great leader?
What makes a great leader? Action, or no action. I think it's a good question and a lot of people have different ideas about what a leader should and shouldn't do.
My dad always told me Clinton was a good President because he didn't do too much. Left things alone for the most part. If it ain't broke, don't fix it... right? (I'm waiting for some moron to mention the dot com boom while forgetting the dot com bomb.)
I personally disagree. I think a leader should be active and try making changes "for the better". Sometimes things work out, sometimes they obviously don't. Some leaders are much more active than others, while other leaders make poor decisions.
What I really find interesting is conservatives are usually considered... well, conservative. Traditionally they don't like too much change, are comfortable with the way things are... why fix something that isn't broke?
And liberals are usually the opposite. More "open minded". Willing to embrace change and try new things. Action makes things happen.
What, in your mind, makes a good leader?
