yup, i've been doing more reading on this, the SurferPictures demos were Microsoft's WM9 HD-DVD. I have a CRT monitor, the quality was great but to my eye on this monitor I've seen DivX rips of high quality DVDs that were the same quality.
What were the budgets on the exotic outdoor Hawaii movies?

Microsoft will win this battle too in the end I think. Though a guy on another board tells me there is some other technology for HD-DVD that is better than Microsofts - but that's probably another VHS vs BETA thing where the best product won't necessarily win out. Video stores online and offline gotta be doomed, in 10 years there will be no reason to use a store.
