AZERI NEWSPAPER CLAIMS SADDAM HUSSEIN IN AZERBAIJAN:
BAKU, SEPTEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS: An Azerbaijani opposition daily Yeni Musavat claimed in its Sunday issue that Iraq's former leader Saddam Hussein has been transported to Azerbaijan across Iran. Citing, as it said "reliable sources," the daily maintained that Hussein is being now kept at a Kizildash settlement 28 km off the capital city of Baku. It said the former dictator will be moved to Gabala radar station, controlled by Russia and from there to Moscow.
The opposition daily even claimed that a former chief of external
intelligence of the KGB Leonid Shebasin was appointed to supervise
Hussein's transfer.
