Personally I have lived all over the planet and I have friends who have been driven from their homes and one person I know killed from the "small scale" conflicts.
I'm definitely not worried about some army marching into our neighborhood because we do have a strong military (that and the second amendment helps!
) There are plenty of small countries that don't have strong militaries that get overrun by other countries......it happens ALL THE TIME.
I'm aware of my place in the world, my lact of importance is just as valid as anyone elses

Of course it's a problem, but if you really think that everyone is the same, wants the same things from life, and thinks the same way, you need to live in places other than the "west"
