I personally have never tried filtering down to a niche and then offering several sponsors in that niche on the same page. I have the sponsors I like to push and I filter down to the appropriate niche and then there's usually 1 option for said sponsor. This way all my traffic goes to just a few sponsors and I can hit all there bonuses etc..
I basically filter through using FPA pages and consoles. So when traffic comes from a SE they hit an FPA page geared to what they were searching for. There may also be some extra options on the bottom in a table that go to other niche fpa's. And then there's exit consoles that show lots of other niches. And again everything leads to an FPA. My final click to the sponsor is always through a big fpa ad.
So I basically circle my traffic around untill they finally feel like going to a sponsor OR I end up sending them somewhere to trade the traffic out (top list, fake tgp etc..).
When done right filtering is fun. Especially if you can get it down to the point where you're able to get "something" from everyone...whether it's a sale or trading the traffic out for fresh traffic...
