They just found out 3 weeks ago that they are having twins, but they just went to the doctor yesterday for a checkup. It turns out there is a rare development between the babies. One baby is getting an abundant amount of nourishment and the other is not getting enough. This is fatal for the babies as well as the mother. They have to get an emergency surgery that only 2 doctors in the US can perform. They are leaving for Florida Sunday. I was able to help them out in the cost of the flights to $100 for both of them roundtrip because my cousin works for Frontier airlines.
They have to pay $14,000 upfront for the surgery and another $36,000 afterwards. Insurance does not cover. I want to help them any way I can for the costs. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? Do you think people would help if I started a charity donation?

One thing about this isn't quite right.. Sure TTTS has high mortality for the babies, but not for the mother. I guess the 14k is for surgery to try and save the two foetuses, and then 36k for all the neonatal intensive care.. It won't be going to save the mothers life.
