I do believe you are a bit confused Quicktime not running extremely well on PC is not because of Apple it's because of MS. Try running Quicktime on a mac sometime and you'll have no doubts, MS impedes Quicktime on PC because they don't want to compete with it. And you haven't seen a full screen high quality but low bitrate Mpeg4 yet I'm sure either.
