You must have gotten them earlier where you are, cause I got mine in 89 or 90 and no one had ever seen one. We went to get a Samurai and they didn't have the color I wanted so the sales guy told my dad to wait and get the Sidekick, cause they were safer and wouldn't roll as easy. Then, they didn't get any in and my dad ended up driving to the next state over cause they had 3 at a dealership. No one even knew what it was here in the States for awhile.

hehe. actually, you're correct - it was a samurai (i tried to edit when i realized the mistake, but it was too late). i had mine during my last year of high school - great little rag top for cruising around with friends. i sold it to help raise cash for university...
